we.are.proud.

SO VERY, VERY PROUD...

You are Chicago's very own...
from our house to the White House...
and now you belong to the world.

We are filled with promise for our 44th President, Barak Obama, and our beautiful new First Lady Michelle, and their sweet children, Malia and Sasha.

We celebrate your Inauguration with cries of jubilation, hearts filled with joy,
eyes filled with tears, and souls filled with hope...
and we are bursting with pride, so much pride.
We are so proud of you all, and support you in your endeavors.

Congratulations Mr. President...!

Yes, a very good day, for America and hopefully for the rest of the globe too ! I'm sure that you must be especially proud that he is a native Chicagoan ! Lovely tribute on a special day, my friend :)

Merci mille fois Barbara...
you comment was so welcome.
It is amazing and humbling to me that a person that shopped in the same stores down the street as I, now governs the most powerful nation on earth.
Yes, we are most especially proud here of our "Chicago President", but I know millions all over the world are so very proud as well.

I'm so excited about the hope President Obama gives for the US and all of our friends abroad.

I can only imagine the pride in the Windy City now and for the years to come! :)

It seems that we all share the same feelings here! How could anybody be against?

I thought I'd left a comment, but it looks like it didn't "take!" Such a wonderful portrait of him, Terrie--this really captures his engaging smile. All of us feel so hopeful for what is to come. It's a good day, that's for sure!

Oh, you must be so proud!
Wow Terri did you take this picture? Incredible!
I'm sorry you're under the weather also. I am so tired of doctors practicing medicine that shouldn't be. I have one incredible doctor so i feel like they all should be.
I'm sending hugs and prayers your way.
Stay bundled up in that cold!
