drinking in fashion…

Since not all of my readers subscribe to Serious Eats, I wanted to share a “hot from Paris fashion-week” post by Adam Kuban.

Christian Louboutin and Piper-Heidsieck are collaborating, releasing a special branded Champagne package, combining my two favorite things: shoes and champagne in my favorite colors red and black.

In celebration of this launch, Louboutin designed a sexy glass stiletto with his signature red sole. It will come in a limited-edition gift box along with a red-swathed bottle of champagne.

It will be available from Colette in Paris at 213, rue St-Honoré, on October 26.

I hope that one can order these on-line from Colette…I will let you know...

Cheers to fashion and bubbly …!

Those shoes are a riot--could you really walk in them and not break the glass heel? I'd be a nervous wreck the way I walk. Fabulous!

Shoes, maybe beter made for drinking than for walking? I have consumed quite a bit of champagne over the years, but never had it in lady's shoe! Something missing in my life!

I checked on the site; no price indicated! Should I go there and find out... buy?

Merci mille fois for all these great comments...!
Wish me luck as tomorrow, as I go to the opening of my very first photography ehxibition...
so cool, yet I am a bit scared...

Salut Lisa...
I love Christian Louboutin shoes (and Manolos, too)...but in time I may be just be looking at these lovelies as I cook.

Salut Sue, yes it hard to imagine walking in the glass reproduction, but those are for drinking champagne, not walking... lol...!
I think you got it wrong my friend.
The real Louboutin shoes are made for walking.
And a single gal needs some very special shoes to walk in sometimes...and I'll be in these shoes tomorrow for my photography first show.

Bonjour Peter…it would be cool if you went to Colette and reported
back to us about the price for this ensemble.
Oui, buy this Louboutin ensemble and send it to me…
lol…
totally just kidding…
buy one for yourself an ensemble and drink the champagne, which is quite lovely.

I agree Veggie Girl. I still have my magical, mystical Manolo Blanik black Patent Leather Mary Janes that I cherish and they are still pretty hot…lol…

I love Piper Heidsieck champagne! But after a couple of flutes, I wouldn't be able to stand up in those heels.
It's a cute marketing idea. You'll have to order 2 shoes, unless you like to drink alone.
